Wage Settlement - Why leaders Are Afraid of Sharing the Details?

by

Bhupinder Kumar

It a irony that these leaders which are made by all the officers and employees, have become so un-democrative that even after signing the so called wage revision, have not come out with any details. No leader has even dared to disclose even the basic details of the wage revision. We were hearing that we will not sign for less than 23% or 25%, now has signed for 17.5% and which include the pension burden also. So how much is left for wage revision? It is a big question mark! When the cost of living has gone so high and with average age of Bank staff around 45-50, and are in the stage of maximum liability of Children's higher education and marriages, I don't know, how we will be able to survive in this period of hard time?

Now, when wage revision has been signed by these so called our well wishers leaders, please come out with details regarding:

What forced you to sign a 17.5% hike only?
What forced you to include pension burden in this wage hike of 17.5%?
When you will start thinking of actual hardships faced by Bank officers?
What you think that Bank officers will be able to perform in these salaries and with such level of stress?
