Wage Revision - Views / Queries of the Readers
|
Dhansayram Nagesia says : "All PSU banks employees must know what judgment policy we have in India. Why to expect 9th wage revision to be finalized soon whereas judgment comes after 19 years. This is because of nakara leaders we have. I will have great sympathy if you all bear injustice to be done which is a part of our lifestyle. don't worry let the tears flow". |
| Vinay Kumar says : "A separate 'Pay Commission' should be constituted for wage revision for financial sector on the line of Central Pay Commission. Retired Employees should not hold any post in Association. Association people responsible for wage revision this time have bowed down on pension issue only |
|
Asim Kumar Sen says : "I strongly feel that the negotiations will nosedive if not crash on the ground if all concerned DO NOT ACT NOW. The large section of existing employees are restless and they are in a mood to go for settlement without bothering for second pension option for retirees. A section of such employees are posting caustic remarks in the website against the union leaders. A section of young generation employees tend to forget the history of struggle and sacrifice to attain the first Bi-Partite settlement. The union leaders are elected and not selected. So, why blame them alone! They also forget that notwithstanding whatever salary and perks they enjoy today; the employees' leaders definitely struggled a lot with the united support of all employees in general to achieve Bi-Partite Settlements and IBA never generously granted the benefits. The existing employees must not forget that sooner or later they will also retire and the pension benefits in future require continuous improvement to combat inflation and price escalation. The foundation stone must be laid now. The second pension optees are also not at fault. The existing employees need not share the cost burden of the second pension optees. The retirees demanded pension as third benefit. They demanded pension at par with SBI employees. Deposit rates being high in 2001; they opted for PF only. The scenario changed abruptly and interest rates are halved. Let us not forget those retirees who held the Indian Banks in high esteem and in a sound position despite global recession and bank failures abroad. ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY.

Aayush Suneja / Raj Kumar says : "BANK UNION LEADERS ARE CHEATING EMPLOYEES AS USUAL. THERE IS NOTHING NEW .THEY WANT ONLY LEVY LEVY LEVY AND ONLY LEVY. BE ASSURED SEE HOW MANY ARE GOING TO PAY THIS TIME". |
| Anil Batham says : Why the negotiations of bank workmen is so delayed. Bank men are annoyed too much because of undisclosure of facts that what is cooking inside. |
|
Mr. OP Agarwal / Vijay Kumar says :
" I
want to give my opinion on complete note on pension options as
per MOU dated 27/11/09 by Sh. R.P. agarwal as und. If any
person resigned from bank’s service after completion of 20 years
or more active service, then he should also be given an
opportunity to take the pension option as if he was a pension
optee and if he resigns after 20 yrs or more active service,
then he will receive pension. So, if he resigns being a PF optee
and He will be debarred from pension, only due to being a PF
optee and not a pension optee. So, if the pension option is
given from back date, then PF optee, even resigned after 20 yrs
or more service, should be given an opportunity to opt pension.
Other wise it will be against the natural justice.
How ever, the condition may be added that there should not be any disciplinary action will be taken against the candidate by the Bank ie the reason of resignation should not be any disciplinary action. |

Raghunath S says :
"
This has reference to the
information provided in aibea official website under the news and events
head. The so called 90 days deadline got expired in February 25, 2010
which was signed in front of labour commissioner (God alone knows the
purpose of bringing the labour commissioner in between). (may be
because of the two days strike notice for the labour commissioners'
presence). On 25th February 2010 only progress in talks between IBA and the UFBU was given in detail of course without any progress. What the so called leaders were doing all these three months and it was a pity to note that they could not even fix or get the next date for their meeting. The leaders also requested the members not to yield to rumours and unwanted anxieties. Had the so called leaders kept their members informed about what exactly is happening between them and the IBA right from the day one of signing the MOU in front of the labour commissioner that too (after giving a strike notice for two days) without a mention about the expiry of deadline for the MOU which was signed in front of the labour commissioner why should a member think about yielding to rumors and unwanted anxieties. There must be some way out other than the present one when the so called m o u time frame is not adopted and why not the leaders try that. Why it took one month after the lapse of deadline for the union to inform the progress (is there one) . At least now let the so called leaders wake up and try f the alternate way to come out in the open and try to achieve either what they wanted else quit paving way for coming generation accepting their retirement of course without pension so that the remaining few bank employees may continue their day to day struggle without any mental agony about the wage/pension settlement putting the blame on the God.. |
|

I FEEL SICK LEAVE SHOULD BE CREDITED TILL THE YEAR OF RETIREMENT. PLEASE TAKE YP THE MATTER WITH IBA. |
|
Sunil Dutt says : "I wish your site to display a request to all officers that they should not pay levy to unions after signing of agreement, unless they get an just and honorable wage settlement for officers. please also display the support received from officers. Hats of to you for taking up fight on behalf of officers who are otherwise betrayed by the stupid union leaders who are defunct both in working and ideas - A Betrayed officer" |

Mohankumar
Viswambaran says :
"The
9th BPS is really going to be a worrying factor for the bankers as the
industry is going to loose most of the existing talents, and the future
banking industry is not going to be charming industry for the youngsters
to join. If IBA continues with this adamant attitude the banking
industry will become another Pakistan with lot of non state actors. IBA
and the Govt don't forget the fact that the banks NPA are increasing
rapidly. I am of the opinion the actual figure will be more than the so
called agreed wage revision of 17.50% and with no green pastures seen
for wage revision to take place soon the NPA figures the going to touch
the wage revision done to the central govt. employees very soon. |
|
Ram Kumar Sharma says : "I have been reading the views of the bank officers/employees regarding the 9th wage revision. near about more than 85% opinions are against our union leaders who are negotiating the wage settlement and that too mainly those retired having key posts in the team. I would request them to wait for this settlement whether it will be good or bad but after that not forget their duty to take initiative to say good bye to them (retired) who have been all the time interested in their own interests ignoring those in service. As horses are not changed in the battle field. |
|
Muraleedharan says : "Who is telling you to work from 9 to 9? You think that there is pressure from above. You can very well apply some pressure from below too. Don’t complain the association for everything. If you are really in trouble the leaders will come and protect you for sure. Wage revision is different. Do you really feel that the leaders are aggressive against members? Let us come out for an open discussion. |
|
Bajrang Lal Choudhary says : "I have read the opinions of many comrades and agree with most of them . Further it is my opinion that some "conspiracy" certainly is there between the IBA and our union leaders otherwise there is no reason to keep such a prolonged silence." |
