Overhauling of the HRD Policies : Do You Agree with this? Send
your feedback to
allbankingsolutions@gmail.com.
It has been
recently reported that RBI is going for a complete overhaul of the
promotion and appraisal system, by providing transparency in the
appraisal system. This will be done by allowing these officers to
review their reports and he will be free to ask a copy of the appraised
report. However, inspite of the Supreme Court ruling wherein it
has been desired that there needs to be transparency in performance
appraisal system of the Central Service officers, there is hardly any
steps taken by any bank to introduce the same in Banks. Still at
Senior and Top management levels, the officer is kept in dark as to what
grading has been given to him, leave alone the reasons for the same.
This is the biggest cause of heart burning among the bankers as lot of
honest officers are given low grading wherein so called "chamchas" are
given high ratings. Thus, at the time of promotions, these Chamchas are able to manipulate and grab the limited higher level posts. Promotions are more or less cornered by small group of people who always remain close to the power centre. In case any honest person tries to challenge the system, he is transferred to remote areas without assigning any reasons or is served with a charge sheet on filmsy grounds. Have you ever given a thought on this issue? What are the problems and what are the solutions? Please send your feedback, which we will try to consolidate and put up on the website for the benefit of everybody. Do not be afraid of sending the feedback. |

FOR ALL BANKERS - LAUNCHING OF ABC
|
A few weeks back we have floated the idea of launching AllBankingSolutions Bankers Club (ABC), and asked for suggestions. We received good response from readers. There has been a lot of demand that in addition to one general group, we should have separate forums for different groups as banker fraternity is very large and bankers do not have sufficient time to read through all the discussions. They wish to read and give their views on topics relating to their own interest. However, when one person is interested in more than one group, he / she can go to more than one group and read about all of them. Based on these suggestions, we are launching two groups today - One for retired bankers; and one for pension optees, as we have receiving large number of queries / views by bankers from these categories. We also feel that they have a long way to fight to get their due demands. However, we wish to keep the discussions / views brief and focused so that a reader is able to get the latest in a short time. Our experience with blogs is quite frustrating as all and sundry and all non sense material is uploaded and one starts losing interest in few minutes and at the end of the day even after spending a hour or so, he / she feels cheated as there has been no gains. In case you go their once a day, you will find 10 to 50 or even more pages uploaded on a single day, most of which is irrelevant. Thus, we are experimenting a new strategy wherein we would like to upload only relevant and brief views. This can lead to some delay in seeing your views, but the readers will be far more richer in reaching the pulse of the group, rather than get confused. You may not visit it daily, but whenever you visit you will be able to read almost all views as they will be short and selected ones. In view of the growing demand, we are today launching two groups : (a) Retired Bankers Group : This group can send their queries / views / suggestions / replies / relevant material at retired.bankers@gmail.com. They will be able to read about these at a new page at www.allbankingsolutions.com/retiredbankers.htm. A link to this page is also being provided from the main page of our website.
(b)
Pension Optees Group : This group can send their queries / views
/ suggestions / replies / relevant material at
pension.optees@gmail.com.
They will be able to read about these at a new page at
www.allbankingsolutions.com/pensionoptees.htm.
A link to this page
is also being provided from the main page of our website.
Based on the feedback and
response, we will try to launch other groups also in the coming
weeks. We hope the readers will be able to get benefit
from such discussions. |

FOR ALL BANK OFFICERS
|
We have been getting a huge response to our updations on Wage Revision. We appreciate the same. However, it has been observed that officers in banks are so much hard pressed with work that they hardly know what is happening in other banks. You can read an article on Poor Banker's Plight. To share the views of bank officers, we plan to launch a special section under the name "ALLBANKINGSOLUTIONS BANKER'S CLUB" (ABC). All bank officers are requested to send their suggestions about the areas to be covered under this CLUB, e.g. promotion policies in banks; working hours for which normally officers are required to work in banks; favoritism in promotions / postings; transfer policies in the banks etc etc. This will create awareness among the officers, who can take up with their management for improvement in working conditions and HRD policies. We request all officers in the banking sector to come and spare few minutes and send their suggestions. Based on such suggestions, we will soon launch ABC for the benefit of all classes of officers - from Scale I to Scale VII. Please send your views at allbankingsolutions@gmail.com. You may or may not give your name / your bank's name. We will try to classify these into different sections and will publish only those views which have some substance, so that focus attention remains on the topic, rather than like certain blogs where all and sundry is published and one looses interest. We are sure, every banker will contribute to this section. |

FOR ALL BANK OFFICERS / BANKERS
|
We have got fairly good response to our idea of starting "ALLBANKINGSOLUTIONS BANKER'S CLUB" (ABC). At the moment, the majority of bankers are worried and waiting for settlement to be finalized. Therefore, we intend to launch this Club as soon as we receive the good news of the finalization of the settlement. In the meantime, we would request the officers across all banks to send us copies of the latest HRD issues related guidelines e.g. transfer, promotion, perks allowed etc. Retired officers can also send the HRD guidelines applicable to them. Please send all your views and material at allbankingsolutions@gmail.com. You may or may not give your name. |
|
We have also received a large number of emails on the issue of union subscription. Most of the readers agreed with the analysis, but certain members have sent mails indicating that these are exaggregated. However, no union or its leader has disclosed the actual receipt and expenditure for last few years. In case some members have authentic details the same may be sent to us. One union has also forwarded a letter sent to Finance Ministry indicating the bungling in their Bank union. We intend to update this article after going through all these views so that it reflects the true sentiments of the members. |
