UNION LEADERS - ARE YOUR LISTENING? PUBLIC SECTOR PROBATIONARY OFFICER IS AT PAR WITH PEON OF GOVERNMENT?

I have retired a few months back as G.M. of a
public sector bank. The joke in the Govt. of India is
that
"A BANK PROBATIONARY OFFICER IS EQUIVALENT TO A PEON OF GOVERNMENT" and "OFFICERS AT SENIOR LEVEL ARE AT PAR WITH CLERKS OF GOVERNMENT" And my friends in the clerical cadre in the Bank can decide their rank in the Govt. Such a misfortune to the Bank employees had never happened in the past that too when Banks were not making profits. Our so called leaders are totally unfit to lead and Bank CMDs enjoying Government pay are hardly concerned. This is not a pay revision but an alms to
the beggar. |
IS THE FOLLOWING TRUE OR A MERE JOKE?
When a union leader was told that a PEON in Government is drawing more than a PO in the Bank.
He Replied : "Of Course he is supposed to draw more, as in PEON there are no additional alphabets (i.e. E and N) then the PO. Thus, he is entitled to draw more".
Hats off to such union leadership. They have answers to queries of all the members. Howsoever, illogical it may be.
