Strike At the Root Cause of Corruption - No Interviews for Promotions in Banks

I would like to know how a Asst General Manager or a Deputy General Manager become General Manager even after knowing that he has been accused in a big amount fraud case.?    How officers in banks are promoted to upper scale even after exposure of his or her involvement in a fraud case?

When General Manager holding topmost post in the bank and who is right hand of CMD of a bank is of doubtful integrity, one can imagine what type of underhand dealing precedes before a person is promoted to higher scale or higher cadre or given a better posting?

When Head of state is like Madhu Koda , one cannot dream of better posting for and timely promotion if he or she is honest and hard worker.  When person like Lalu Yadav and Mayawati is the CM of any state, good and effective IAS and IPS officers in that state have to be shunted out and posted at ineffective post.

When unbridled power comes in the hands of any person in our country he more often than not indulges in whimsical decisions, promotes and posts his subordinates as per his whim and fancies.

Resultant effect is erosion in quality and intrinsic health of the Institution. Reality comes to floor when the corrupt head is removed from that post or he himself resigns from the post. People of India always suffer due to such ill-motivated persons.

Greed for Money and Power makes a man corrupt, lobby of similar men surrounds him.  Corrupt practices goes on escalating and becomes non-curable cancer in short run. Only way out to curb the killer disease and deal with such bad person is to eliminate the need of interview in all promotions at least. In case of fresh recruitment, interview may be considered as necessary.
